A new 20th Anniversary Half Cab Pro just dropped. This one is a collab with one of Steve Caballero’s all-time favorite bands, Metallica. The shoe is completely blacked out (you wouldn’t expect a neon, sparkly, Metallica collab would you?) and features some subtle Metallica detailing from the band’s Kill ‘Em All album. There is a limited quantity of this collab out in the world. Vans only made the amount ordered originally by Vendors and made no extras. Not even Vans have extras laying around.
You’ll find “Those people who tell you not to take chances[,] they are all missing on what life’s about…” embossed along the vulcanized wrap, Kill ‘Em All patch on the inside, and a Metallica tag ok the tongue. The sole is pretty right too with a clear waffle grip with a blurred colorful design someone reminiscent of the Kill ‘Em All cover. The shoe comes inside a black dust bag to keep the shoes clean if you’re not into keeping boxes. The Half Cab Pro features the Vans pro skate insole which is nearly an inch thick at the heel and is constructed with PU and gel.
